Here’s what I do at IBM:
I am currently a Social Governance Strategist at IBM in Austin, Texas. I help keep social accounts secure and provide proof that teams are following company guidelines.
The weirdest thing I do for my job is consistently create a paper trail in an all-digital environment. When you manage secure access for 50+ IBM-owned social media channels run and monitored by nearly 100 different people, things can get crazy. You need to provide proof of what you’re doing, and when.
The things I enjoy doing the most is analyzing processes for efficiency. I also really enjoy creating internal training materials.
The thing I enjoy the least is audits. It doesn’t matter if I’m doing mini-audits of team processes or someone else is auditing one of my managed teams. The process of gathering data and evidence and writing reports can be very tiring.
The best part of my job is working for a company that not only creates great products, the company creates policies, benefits and training materials with employee comprehension and well-being firmly in mind.
